PARK PICNIC DREW CROWDS TO DIANA PARK
For the third time, Design District Helsinki was taking part in the Night of the Arts, on Friday, 22.8.2008. In previous years, Design District Helsinki has acted as a playground for the Yellow Arrow competition and celebrated the opening of Diana Park. This year's theme was Park Picnic in Diana Park, in the heart of Design District Helsinki.The Park Picnic was offering a tranquil oasis for by-passers. They were able to rest for a while and enjoy good food and music. Design District Helsinki maps and information about events in the area was handed out. Bacchus på Backen, Ilmatar and Raku Ya were responsible for the Picnic food. The event was very popular especially among families and young adults. During the night Diana Park was visited by over 500 celebrators of the Night of the Arts.
