CHRISTMAS BEGINS IN DESIGN DISTRICT HELSINKI – LATE NIGHT (S)HOPPING ON 3 DECEMBER 2009
Shopping is a pleasure in Design District: an experience of music, the scents of Christmas, unique finds, and unhurried purchases – f ar from the crowds filling the city's department stores. This time Late Night (S)hopping will involve as many as 65 firms and organizations, and customers can shop until 8 or 9 p.m.The programme for the evening includes live music at Bisquit Stash, where you can buy hand-made unique gingerbread with "street cred", while at Asuna, customers can style their own cookies. The stars of Christmas will be on show at Alnilam, where visitors will be shown the constellations and how to read star charts. Napa Gallery's Christmas Shop will sell, among other items, posters of the NAPAXPEKKA exhibition. Unique special offers for Christmas and valued customers can also be found in many other shops in Design District. The District's own Christmas tree in Dianapuisto Park helps to enhance the mood of the season along with the Late Night (S)hopping events.
