MIDSUMMER MAGICS 13.06.2013 at 5pm to 7pm

On Thursday 13.6 we´ll enjoy the atmosphere of Juhannus spells when Aila Nieminen from Seurasaarisäätiö will tell us the secrets of Juhannus spells at 5pm tp 7pm.

During the evening professional violinist Pauliina Pajala will entertain us with folk music, whit some delicious summer treats and wine. During the evening all Midsummer dresses are -15%

To find motives is sometimes challenging. The best is if they just pop up. In 2012 I focused on practicing on two issues – to create space and to make compositions with limited colors. On one cold winter day I started to paint my mother’s grandmother’s kitchen. These two paintings could be combined as one as they are connected by a carpet. Mifuko means pocket in swahili language. Mifuko is a design company, which co-operates with several small artisan workshops in Kenya. Products, bags, home ware and jewelry, are made partly of recycled materials such as tyre inner tubes, men´s shirts and scrap metal. Each product combines traditional African handcraft techniques with Scandinavian design.

On Wednesday 29th of May Mifuko Ltd's founders Minna Impiö and Mari Martikainen share their story at 18-20. Both are graduates of Aalto University, Helsinki, and worked previously in many variations in design field.

During the evening we will enjoy for Double Bass player Juho Martikainen playing, with some snacks and wine.

The myth differentiates and names that which is infinite and vague.
